Arm acne is something that is hard to cover up and can be very embarrassing for many people. This is common in teenagers and adults and as common as face acne. Acne on the arms, mostly upper arms, is very common in this day in age.
A few causes of arm acne are from tight fitting clothes and excessive sweating. If you play sports and sweat a lot, then it is likely you have arm acne. Don’t worry – there are ways to get rid of this. It’s not so much different from getting rid of face acne.

There are many full body acne products that you can buy. Washing with these everyday can show a decrease in the amount of acne on your body, including your arms. The most popular is salicylic products. You can buy this in body lotion. Also try using benzoyl peroxide face wash on your arms. This clears up acne within a small amount of time and helps keep it from coming back if used regularly. Try an apricot scrub.

There are also lotions and creams that can provide good removal of acne. The most commonly used would be an ointment with benzyl peroxide as the main ingredient. Another alternative lotion would be Amlactin. Another recommendation would be to use a loofa sponge when showering and bathing. It helps reduce irritation and redness.

Something new to help get rid of acne would be to try warm olive oil. Massage the oil into the affected area on your arm for five minutes and cover it with a bandage. You can leave it over night if you wish, or just a couple hours. The best time of day to do this would be at night before going to bed and after getting out of the shower. The next morning wash it off and apply a lotion to it to keep it moistened because it’s very important for it not to dry out.

Another way to help prevent the acne is lemon juice. You can mix the lemon juice with some sugar to make a light paste. Rub this on your arm for about 10 minutes or so and then rinse it off. The best way to get rid of acne is going to be to not wear real tight fitting clothes and to exfoliate your skin very well.

There are many body scrubs and lotions that are available for your use.

There are many treatments options available without going to the dermatologist so try those first to save yourself money. It is very important to remember that if these things and other things do not work to get rid of your acne, you need to consult your dermatologist. Your condition may be worse than what you thought or it could be something else that is not acne. There are many different alternatives that a dermatologist can prescribe to you that can be very helpful such as prescription lotions and antibiotics or laser if it needs to come to that.
